The Chamonix Mont Blanc valley's association of communes, of which three of the four member communes are directly concerned by the event 's routes, contributes strongly, both financially and in logistical terms, to this sporting event which has become a veritable world reference for the subject.
Our valley is concerned, as much by the values of effort and self-achievement, as by the races which create a considerable influx of people for the event, animating it for several days.
The Chamonix Mont Blanc valley has, for several years, been resolutely committed with numerous institutional partners, along with their bordering neighbours, fighting in many ways to protect its environment: whether it be the air we inhale, the water which we drink, the way we move around or for the exceptional nature which surrounds it. These are difficult and expensive battles which are carried out on many fronts, alone or in partnership.
